Description
liboqs provides: * a collection of open source implementations of quantum-safe key encapsulation mechanism (KEM) and digital signature algorithms; the full list can be found below * a common API for these algorithms * a test harness and benchmarking routines
liboqs is part of the Open Quantum Safe (OQS) project led by Douglas Stebila and Michele Mosca, which aims to develop and integrate into applications quantum-safe cryptography to facilitate deployment and testing in real world contexts. In particular, OQS provides prototype integrations of liboqs into TLS and SSH, through OpenSSL and OpenSSH.
In the other systems
| System | Port | Version |
|---|---|---|
| FreeBSD | security/liboqs | 0.16.0 |
| NetBSD | security/liboqs | 0.15.0 |
| DragonFly | security/liboqs | 0.12.0 |
Install
Binary package:
pkg install liboqs
From the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/security/liboqs/ && make install clean
To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
RUN_DEPENDS= liboqs>0:security/liboqs
LIB_DEPENDS= liboqs.so:security/liboqs
Packages
The version each package repository carries. “-” means the repository builds no package of it, “n/a” that there is no such repository.
