Description
The Dictionary Server Protocol (DICT) is a TCP transaction based query/response protocol that allows a client to access dictionary definitions from a set of natural language dictionary databases.
RFC 2229 describes the DICT client/server protocol.
dict is a client which can access DICT servers from the command line.

Install
Binary package:
pkg install dictFrom the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/textproc/dict/ && make install cleanTo depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
RUN_DEPENDS= dict>0:textproc/dictPackages
