Description

Semchunk splits text into smaller chunks while preserving as much local semantic context as possible. It is designed for use in RAG and LLM applications where text must be divided into segments that maintain coherent meaning for embedding and retrieval.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install py312-semchunk

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/textproc/py-semchunk/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	py312-semchunk>0:textproc/py-semchunk
