mongodb -- Buffer over-reads in MongoDB Server
· CVE-2024-10921 · VuXML entry
[email protected] reports: An authorized user may trigger crashes or receive the contents of buffer over-reads of Server memory by issuing specially crafted requests that construct malformed BSON in the MongoDB Server.
Affected versions
- mongodb50 < 5.0.30
- mongodb60 < 6.0.19
- mongodb70 < 7.0.15
- mongodb80 < 8.0.2
By system
0 still vulnerable, 2 fixed. Where VuXML applies (FreeBSD, DragonFly, FreeBSD's derivatives) a port is vulnerable while its version is in a range; pkgsrc says itself whether it lists a CVE of this advisory; OpenBSD and MidnightBSD keep no list this site reads, so their row is only an estimate: FreeBSD's ranges applied to upstream's version.
| System | Port | Version | State | Fixed |

| FreeBSD | databases/mongodb70 | 7.0.45 | fixed | (621 days after) |
| MidnightBSD | databases/mongodb70 | 7.0.21_1 | out of range, by version | |
| FreeBSD | databases/mongodb80 | 8.0.34 | fixed | (684 days after) |
