Elixir -- Denial of service via unbounded integer parsing in Version
· CVE-2026-49762 · VuXML entry
PJUllrich reports: The Version module parses numeric version components without length limits. Untrusted input can trigger creation of arbitrary-precision integers, causing CPU and memory exhaustion.
Affected versions
- elixir >= 1.5.0 <= 1.19.5
By system
1 still vulnerable, 1 fixed. Where VuXML applies (FreeBSD, DragonFly, FreeBSD's derivatives) a port is vulnerable while its version is in a range; pkgsrc says itself whether it lists a CVE of this advisory; OpenBSD and MidnightBSD keep no list this site reads, so their row is only an estimate: FreeBSD's ranges applied to upstream's version.
| System | Port | Version | State | Fixed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DragonFly | lang/elixir | 1.17.3 | vulnerable since 2026-06-09 | |
| OpenBSD | lang/elixir | 1.20.4 | out of range, by version | |
| NetBSD | lang/elixir | 1.17.2 | not listed | |
| MidnightBSD | lang/elixir | 1.16.3 | in range, by version | |
| FreeBSD | lang/elixir | 1.19.6 | fixed | (80 days after) |
