Grafana -- XSS in Grafana Explore stack trace
· CVE-2025-41117 · VuXML entry
https://grafana.com/security/security-advisories/cve-2025-41117 reports: Stack traces in Grafana's Explore Traces view can be rendered as raw HTML, and thus inject malicious JavaScript in the browser. This would require malicious JavaScript to be entered into the stack trace field. Only datasources with the Jaeger HTTP API appear to be affected; Jaeger gRPC and Tempo do not appear affected whatsoever.
Affected versions
- grafana >= 12.2.0 < 12.2.4; >= 12.3.0 < 12.3.2
By system
0 still vulnerable, 2 fixed. Where VuXML applies (FreeBSD, DragonFly, FreeBSD's derivatives) a port is vulnerable while its version is in a range; pkgsrc says itself whether it lists a CVE of this advisory; OpenBSD and MidnightBSD keep no list this site reads, so their row is only an estimate: FreeBSD's ranges applied to upstream's version.
