mailpit -- multiple vulnerabilities

· VuXML entry

Mailpit author reports: Mailpit's SMTP server reads each command line with an unbounded bufio.Reader.ReadString('\n') before parsing the command or enforcing any protocol length limit. A remote SMTP client can send an oversized single command line and force Mailpit to allocate attacker-controlled memory before the server returns a syntax error or times out, even though RFC 5321 limits SMTP command lines to 512 …

Affected versions

By system

0 still vulnerable, 1 fixed. Where VuXML applies (FreeBSD, DragonFly, FreeBSD's derivatives) a port is vulnerable while its version is in a range; pkgsrc says itself whether it lists a CVE of this advisory; OpenBSD and MidnightBSD keep no list this site reads, so their row is only an estimate: FreeBSD's ranges applied to upstream's version.
