jackson-databind -- type parameters bypass the polymorphic type validator
· CVE-2026-110879 · VuXML entry
The Jackson project reports: Type parameters of generic type ids, and element types of array type ids, were not passed to the configured PolymorphicTypeValidator, so a deny-listed type could be reached through a type parameter. They are now validated like direct type ids. Approval by base type only covers subtypes of that base type, allowIfSubTypeIsArray() no longer accepts abstract or interface element types …
Affected versions
- jackson-databind < 2.22.4
By system
0 still vulnerable, 1 fixed. Where VuXML applies (FreeBSD, DragonFly, FreeBSD's derivatives) a port is vulnerable while its version is in a range; pkgsrc says itself whether it lists a CVE of this advisory; OpenBSD and MidnightBSD keep no list this site reads, so their row is only an estimate: FreeBSD's ranges applied to upstream's version.
| System | Port | Version | State | Fixed |
