MongoDB Server -- CWE-617: Reachable Assertion

· CVE-2026-5170 · VuXML entry

https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/SERVER-101758 reports: A user with access to the cluster with a limited set of privilege actions can trigger a crash of amongod process during the limited and unpredictable window when the cluster is being promoted from a replica set to a sharded cluster. This may cause a denial of service by taking down the primary of the replica set.

Affected versions

By system

0 still vulnerable, 2 fixed. Where VuXML applies (FreeBSD, DragonFly, FreeBSD's derivatives) a port is vulnerable while its version is in a range; pkgsrc says itself whether it lists a CVE of this advisory; OpenBSD and MidnightBSD keep no list this site reads, so their row is only an estimate: FreeBSD's ranges applied to upstream's version.
