GnuTLS -- Stack write buffer overflow
GnuTLS reports: When a PKCS#11 token is initialized with gnutls_pkcs11_token_init function and it is passed a token label longer than 32 characters, it may write past the boundary of stack allocated memory.
Affected versions
- gnutls < 3.8.11
By system
1 still vulnerable, 1 fixed. Where VuXML applies (FreeBSD, DragonFly, FreeBSD's derivatives) a port is vulnerable while its version is in a range; pkgsrc says itself whether it lists a CVE of this advisory; OpenBSD and MidnightBSD keep no list this site reads, so their row is only an estimate: FreeBSD's ranges applied to upstream's version.
| System | Port | Version | State | Fixed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DragonFly | security/gnutls | 3.8.9 | vulnerable since 2025-11-21 | |
| OpenBSD | security/gnutls | 3.8.13p1 | out of range, by version | |
| NetBSD | security/gnutls | 3.8.13nb1 | not listed | |
| MidnightBSD | security/gnutls | 3.8.13 | out of range, by version | |
| FreeBSD | security/gnutls | 3.8.13 | fixed |
