Description

gwsocket is a simple, standalone, language-agnostic, RFC6455 compliant WebSocket Server, written in C.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install gwsocket

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/www/gwsocket/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	gwsocket>0:www/gwsocket

Message after installing

To run gwsocket at startup, enable it in your /etc/rc.conf:
sysrc gwsocket_enable="YES"

To start gwsocket:
service gwsocket start

To configure gwsocket edit:
/usr/local/etc/gwsocket/gwsocket.conf

A client example can be found at /usr/local/share/examples/gwsocket/sample.html

To run multiple instances of gwsocket, enable it in your /etc/rc.conf:
sysrc gwsocket_multi_enable="YES"

An instance will be created for each *.conf file found in:
/usr/local/etc/gwsocket
