Description

Highly extensible Go source code linter providing checks currently missing from other linters. Features:

  • Almost 100 diagnostics that check for bugs, performance and style issues
  • Extensible without re-compilation with dynamic rules
  • Includes #opinionated checks with very strict and specific requirements
  • Self-documented: gocritic doc <checkname> gives a checker description

Install

Binary package:

pkg install go-critic

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/devel/go-critic/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	go-critic>0:devel/go-critic
