Description

Quake III Arena data files.

This port installs the data files needed to run Quake III Arena. It also uses the update, and has an option to install Quake III Team Arena data files.

You still need to have a legitimate copy of the game in order to obtain the *.pk3 files.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install quake3-data

From DPorts:

cd /usr/dports/games/quake3-data && make install clean

No options to configure.

Message after installing

To complete the installation of this port you need to copy the file
"baseq3/pak0.pk3" from the original Quake III Arena distribution to
/usr/local/share/quake3/baseq3.

If you have the expansion pack then you have to copy the file
"missionpack/pak0.pk3" from the original Quake III Team Arena
distribution to /usr/local/share/quake3/missionpack.

The quake3-data port currently does not have a maintainer. As a result, it is
more likely to have unresolved issues, not be up-to-date, or even be removed in
