Description

This program is used to fetch and update the GeoIP2 databases. By default it fetches the free databases, but it can also manage the paid databases with an active GeoIP subscription.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install geoipupdate

From DPorts:

cd /usr/dports/net/geoipupdate && make install clean

The free GeoIP2 databases now require a (free)
registered account.

Place the generated account key and license key
into /usr/local/etc/GeoIP.conf
