Description

This program is used to fetch and update the GeoIP2 databases. By default it fetches the free databases, but it can also manage the paid databases with an active GeoIP subscription.

Please see https://www.maxmind.com/en/geolocation_landing for details about obtaining an optional subscription.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install geoipupdate

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/net/geoipupdate/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

registered account.

Place the generated account key and license key
