Description

MariaDB is a database server that offers drop-in replacement functionality for MySQL. MariaDB is built by some of the original authors of MySQL, with assistance from the broader community of Free and open source software developers. In addition to the core functionality of MySQL, MariaDB offers a rich set of feature enhancements including alternate storage engines, server optimizations, and patches.

MariaDB is primarily driven by developers at Monty Program, a company founded by Michael "Monty" Widenius, the original author of MySQL, but this is not the whole story about MariaDB. On the "About MariaDB" page you will find more information about all participants in the MariaDB community, including storage engines XtraDB and PBXT.

## Changes - Update MariaDB 11.4 server and matching client source to 11.4.13. - Refresh the source checksum and remove files no longer installed by upstream. ## Validation - `bmake makesum` passed on the shared server source; `patch`, `build`, `fake`, `package`, and `check-license` passed for server and client. - `portlint -C`: 0 fatal errors, 12 existing warnings. - `git diff --check` passed. - Client library SONAME remains `libmariadb.so.3`. - `bmake test` has no test commands for these ports. - Build used `MAGUS=1`, `NO_DEPENDS=1`, and GSSAPI_NONE because the build host has MySQL 8.0 installed and ports OpenSSL conflicts with its saved base GSSAPI option. e7b96113b0 Lucas Holt devel/libfmt: update to 12.1.0 and fix the tree for fmt 12 (#853)
Updates `devel/libfmt` from 9.1.0 to 12.1.0 and fixes every consumer that breaks as a result. Originally a prerequisite for `ai/pytorch` 2.13.0 (#851), which vendors fmt 12.1.0 and does not build against fmt 9. > **This must land as a single unit.** Between libfmt 12 going in and the > consumers being rebuilt, a stale consumer breaks *unrelated* builds with > misleading errors — a leftover `libze_loader.so.1` needing `libfmt.so.9` > made `net/openmpi4`'s configure report a bogus "cannot link hwloc". a05b377b53 Lucas Holt *: bump PORTREVISION for the textproc/libxml2 2.15 shared library change (#848)
`textproc/libxml2` 2.15 changed SONAME from `libxml2.so.2` to `libxml2.so.16` **and** removed ELF symbol versioning entirely — the new library defines no `LIBXML2_*` versions at all. Consumers built against the old library were never rebuilt, so they still record a dependency on `libxml2.so.2` plus version requirements nothing can satisfy, and fail at load time: ``` ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/libxml2.so.2: version LIBXML2_2.4.30 required by /usr/local/lib/libevdocument3.so.4 not defined ``` ### Scope `Tools/scripts/bump_revision.pl -f -l textproc/libxml2` — **436 Makefiles**: 323 revisions incremented, 113 gained a `PORTREVISION` line.
