Description

Dovecot is an open source IMAP and POP3 email server for Linux/UNIX-like systems, written with security primarily in mind. Dovecot is an excellent choice for both small and large installations. It's fast, simple to set up, requires no special administration and it uses very little memory.

Dovecot is high-performing, self-optimizing, self-healing, and easily extensible. It includes IMAP4rev1 and POP3 support. IPv6, SSL and TLS are supported. It supports multiple commonly used IMAP extensions, including SORT, THREAD and IDLE.

This port provides Dovecot 2.4.x. It is not backward compatible with 2.3.x.

## Summary - add the Python runtime extension so shebangfix selects the versioned interpreter - bump PORTREVISION to rebuild all Dovecot 2.4 flavors - fix fake-qa failures for Magus IDs 2255253, 2255254, and 2255255 ## Root cause The existing shebangfix declaration rewrote the upstream python3 shebang to /usr/local/bin/python because no Python version was selected. Magus rejects that unversioned interpreter during fake QA. With python:run, the staged helper uses /usr/local/bin/python3.12 and records the lang/python312 runtime dependency. The analyzer was partially supported: it identified the shebang area but recommended shebangfix, which was already present, and missed the missing Python runtime selection. ## Validation - default flavor: clean, patch, build, fake, package passed …

The QA stage rejected the installed helper script: Error: '/usr/bin/env python3' is an invalid shebang you need USES=shebangfix for 'libexec/dovecot/settings-history.py' Add shebangfix for it, and list include/dovecot/auth-sasl.h and include/dovecot/smtp-dovecot.h, which fake reported as missing from the plist. Rewriting the shebang makes settings-history.py newer than the pre-generated settings-history-core.h, which fires the regeneration rule in src/lib-settings/Makefile. That rule uses the GNU make $< variable, which is empty under BSD make, so the script runs without its input file: settings-history.py: error: the following arguments are required: output-file Touch the shipped header after the shebang is rewritten so the rule stays satisfied. …
