Description

librest has been designed to make it easier to access web services that claim to be "RESTful". A reasonable definition of what this means can be found on Wikipedia. However a reasonable description is that a RESTful service should have urls that represent remote objects which methods can then be called on.

166a9703c5 Lucas Holt net/librest1: correct LGPL metadata (#1180)
The 0.10.2 meson project declares LGPL-2.1-or-later. Update the mport identifier accordingly. ## Summary by Sourcery Align the librest1 port metadata with the upstream project’s licensing and test configuration. Updates librest1 to the 0.10.2 GNOME release. - adds the upstream-required libxml2 dependency - retains the existing MidnightBSD demo dependency coverage and staged-install behavior - resets PORTREVISION to 0 Validation: - `bmake makesum patch build fake package` - `bmake check-license` - `git diff --check` - `bmake test`: 10/11 passed; upstream `tests/flickr.c` failed after the public Flickr API returned `stat="fail"` for its embedded historical API key. The test remains enabled and unchanged. License audit: 0.10.2 `COPYING` is LGPL 2.1 while its Meson project metadata declares `LGPL2.1+`. a05b377b53 Lucas Holt *: bump PORTREVISION for the textproc/libxml2 2.15 shared library change (#848)
`textproc/libxml2` 2.15 changed SONAME from `libxml2.so.2` to `libxml2.so.16` **and** removed ELF symbol versioning entirely — the new library defines no `LIBXML2_*` versions at all. Consumers built against the old library were never rebuilt, so they still record a dependency on `libxml2.so.2` plus version requirements nothing can satisfy, and fail at load time: ``` ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/libxml2.so.2: version LIBXML2_2.4.30 required by /usr/local/lib/libevdocument3.so.4 not defined ``` ### Scope `Tools/scripts/bump_revision.pl -f -l textproc/libxml2` — **436 Makefiles**: 323 revisions incremented, 113 gained a `PORTREVISION` line.
