Description

Samba4 is an attempt to implement an Active Directory compatible Domain Controller.

In short, you can join a WinNT, Win2000, WinXP or Win 2003 - 2016 member server to a Samba4 domain, and it will behave much as it does in AD, including Kerberos domain logins where applicable.

net/samba419: fix staging path doubling in post-install (#1491)

With the platform detection fixed in c608a5c175 (#1486) and `sysutils/libsunacl` updated in 9e4227c587 (#1488), `net/samba419` compiled but failed while staging: ``` ln: .../work/fake-inst-amd64/usr/mports/net/samba419/work/fake-inst-amd64/usr/local/share/man/man5/smb4.conf.5.gz: No such file or directory ``` Note the doubled path. ## Cause `Mk/components/fake/vars.mk` sets, for the fake stage: ```make FAKE_SETUP= TRUE_PREFIX=${TRUE_PREFIX} PREFIX=${FAKE_DESTDIR}${TRUE_PREFIX} ... ``` So `${PREFIX}` is *already* redirected in the plain `post-install` chain, and writing `${FAKE_DESTDIR}${PREFIX}` prefixes it a second time. The port has never built on MidnightBSD, so this was never exercised. ## What changed Dropped the redundant prefix for `${PREFIX}`, `${DOCSDIR}` and …

net/samba419: fix MidnightBSD platform detection and libutil clash (#1486)

Two MidnightBSD-specific build problems in `net/samba419`. **Neither is sufficient on its own to make samba build yet** — see *Status* below — but both are real, independent bugs worth fixing on their own merits. ## 1. Platform detection samba dispatches on `sys.platform`, which is **`midnightbsd4`** here, using substring tests: ```python host_os = sys.platform ... elif (host_os.rfind('freebsd') > -1): ``` `"midnightbsd4"` does not contain `"freebsd"`, so MidnightBSD **fell through every platform branch** in `source3/wscript` and `nsswitch/wscript_build`. The visible symptom was configure aborting: ``` sendfile support not found but it was requested ! ``` but it was also silently skipping: - the `FREEBSD` define - `STAT_ST_BLOCKSIZE` …

net/samba4{16,19}: stop USES= from clobbering cpe

Both ports set "USES= cpe" near the top and then, ~85 lines later, assign "USES=" again with the real build dependencies. The second plain assignment overwrites the first, so cpe never reached the resolved USES and CPE_STR came out empty. The ports declared a CPE_VENDOR and CPE_PRODUCT that were never used. mport audit matches by CPE, so Samba was invisible to it. With the later assignment changed to USES+=, net/samba419 now resolves cpe:2.3:a:samba:samba:4.19.9 and the audit API reports 63 CVEs against that version, including CVE-2016-2124 and CVE-2019-10218. Checked the rest of the tree for the same pattern: the only other ports with a plain USES= after one mentioning cpe are devel/py-Jinja2, where the two assignments are in mutually exclusive .if branches, and …
