Description

The Courier Authentication Library is a generic authentication API used for two purposes:

  1. Read the name of a mail account. Determine the local account's home directory, and system userid and groupid.
  2. Read an account name, and a password. If valid, determine the account's home directory, system userid, and groupid.

In the other systems

The newest version among them is 0.73.2, as upstream numbers it.

c05d159dfd Lucas Holt devel/courier-unicode: update to 2.4.0
mail/courier-imap 5.3.2 requires courier-unicode 2.4.0 during configure. Update courier-unicode so the nested rfc822 configure check can pass, refresh the plist for the new shared library version, and bump direct consumers for the libcourier-unicode.so.10 change. mail/courier-imap also links against gdbm when built with the default options, so declare that dependency for fake-qa.
