Description

The Free Software Foundation's "find" utilities, including "find", "locate", and "xargs".

These utilities exist in the FreeBSD base collection, but the GNU versions have added functionality that is sometimes useful.

Note that this port will install these utilities with a `g' prefix, eg., glocate, gfind, gxargs, but the texinfo documentation will refer to these utilities without the `g' prefix.

Install

As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:

pkg install misc/findutils
pkg install findutils

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/misc/findutils/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	findutils>0:misc/findutils

The version each package repository carries. “-” means the repository builds no package of it, “n/a” that there is no such repository.
