Description

PicoClaw is an ultra-lightweight personal AI assistant inspired by NanoBot, rebuilt from the ground up in Go. It is designed to run on minimal hardware (under 10MB of RAM) and ships as a single static binary supporting multiple chat backends (Anthropic, OpenAI, Bedrock, local OLLAMA) and messaging integrations (Discord, Slack, Telegram, Matrix, and others).

Message after installing

PicoClaw is installed. The self-update command (`picoclaw update`) is
removed in this port; use `pkg upgrade picoclaw` instead.

To use PicoClaw as a per-user CLI:

  $ picoclaw onboard
  $ picoclaw gateway

To run the gateway as a system service:

  1. Create a dedicated user (any name works; defaults to "picoclaw"):
       # pw useradd -n picoclaw -d /home/picoclaw -s /bin/sh -m
  2. Onboard once as that user (will prompt for API keys, model, etc.):
       # su -l picoclaw -c 'picoclaw onboard'
     This creates ~picoclaw/.picoclaw/config.json.
  3. Enable and start the service:
       # sysrc picoclaw_enable=YES
       # sysrc picoclaw_user=picoclaw # only if not using the default name
       # service picoclaw start

The gateway binds to 127.0.0.1:18790 by default; health endpoints are
exposed at /health, /ready and /reload (POST).
