Description

The python-bidi library provides bi-directional (BiDi) layout algorithms for Python. It offers a wrapper for the unicode-bidi Rust crate.

This library is used to correctly display text that mixes left-to-right and right-to-left scripts. It also includes a command-line utility called `pybidi` for running the display algorithm.

Install

As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:

pkg install textproc/py-python-bidi
pkg install py312-python-bidi

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/textproc/py-python-bidi/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	py312-python-bidi>0:textproc/py-python-bidi
