Description

The cache_purge module adds the ability to purge content from the proxy, FastCGI, SCGI and uwsgi caches of nginx.

This port only installs the module sources. The module itself is built by the nginx ports when their CACHE_PURGE option is enabled.

The version each package repository carries. “-” means the repository builds no package of it, “n/a” that there is no such repository.

Message after installing

This package contains the sources of the cache_purge module only. It
does not install a loadable module.

The module itself is built by the nginx ports. To use cache_purge,
build www/nginx, www/nginx-devel or www/freenginx with the CACHE_PURGE
option enabled. Those ports pick the sources up from
/usr/local/share/nginx/modules/nginx-module-cache-purge and produce
ngx_http_cache_purge_module.so.

Fixes a symlink traversal during cache tree traversal: an attacker able to create symbolic links inside the cache directory could make a purge delete arbitrary files the worker can reach (CVE-2026-108981). https://github.com/nginx-modules/ngx_cache_purge/releases/tag/3.0.4 Security: CVE-2026-108981 Sponsored by: Netzkommune GmbH
dc8a2bd9a6 Jochen Neumeister www/nginx-module-cache-purge: Update to 3.0.3
Upstream has turned the snapshot into a release. It fixes a segfault on PURGE requests in locations without a configured proxy cache, which now return 404, keeps the separate purge location configuration inside "if" blocks and adds regression coverage for inherited configuration and cache key handling. Snapshot of the current upstream tree. It fixes 404 responses on non-PURGE requests when an "if" block is present, either at server level or inside the location. Sponsored by: Netzkommune GmbH
5bc5cf6582 Jochen Neumeister www/nginx-module-cache-purge: Fix proxy_cache_purge on freenginx
The module mirrors ngx_http_proxy_loc_conf_t privately and enables the host_set field for nginx_version >= 1029004. freenginx does not have that field, so plcf->cache_key is read at the wrong offset and a PURGE request kills the worker process. Sponsored by: Netzkommune GmbH
