Description

The form_input module reads the body of an HTTP POST or PUT request that carries a form and puts the fields into nginx variables, using the ngx_devel_kit. Bodies encoded as application/x-www-form-urlencoded are read out of the box, multipart/form-data where the configuration asks for it.

This port only installs the module sources. The module itself is built by the nginx ports when their FORMINPUT option is enabled.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install nginx-module-form-input

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/www/nginx-module-form-input/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	nginx-module-form-input>0:www/nginx-module-form-input

Message after installing

This package contains the sources of the form_input module only.  It
does not install a loadable module.

The module itself is built by the nginx ports.  To use form_input,
build www/nginx, www/nginx-devel or www/freenginx with the FORMINPUT
option enabled.  Those ports pick the sources up from
/usr/local/share/nginx/modules/nginx-module-form-input and produce
ngx_http_form_input_module.so.

Switch the project over to github.com/joneum/form-input-nginx-module, which is the active repository. multipart/form-data bodies are read where form_input_multipart is on, file parts are skipped. Bodies that nginx spooled to a temporary file are read instead of coming back empty. set_form_input_multi is refused at startup when array-var-nginx-module is not part of the build, and the request body is only buffered in locations that use a directive.
