Description

The slowfs_cache module caches files from a slow filesystem the way nginx caches upstream responses. A location serves its files through the cache, so a request that finds a cached copy no longer touches the slow device, and the usual proxy cache controls apply to it.

This port only installs the module sources. The module itself is built by the nginx ports when their SLOWFS_CACHE option is enabled.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install nginx-module-slowfs-cache

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/www/nginx-module-slowfs-cache/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	nginx-module-slowfs-cache>0:www/nginx-module-slowfs-cache

Message after installing

This package contains the sources of the slowfs_cache module only.  It does
not install a loadable module.

The module itself is built by the nginx ports.  To use slowfs_cache, build
www/nginx, www/nginx-devel or www/freenginx with the SLOWFS_CACHE option
enabled.  Those ports pick the sources up from
/usr/local/share/nginx/modules/nginx-module-slowfs-cache and produce
ngx_http_slowfs_module.so.
