195ea24a9c Lucas Holt devel/py-lxml: allow building against cython 3.3.x (#1264)
Companion to #1263 (`lang/cython`: update to 3.3.0). **These should land together.** ## Problem lxml 6.1.3 declares the following in its upstream `pyproject.toml`: ```toml requires = ["Cython>=3.2.9,<3.3", "setuptools"] ``` Once `lang/cython` moves to 3.3.0, the pep517 build backend refuses to build: ``` ERROR Missing dependencies: Cython<3.3,>=3.2.9 ``` lxml 6.1.3 is the latest upstream release, so no newer version relaxes this bound. Relaxing only the port `BUILD_DEPENDS` is not sufficient — the check lives in the `pyproject.toml` metadata. ## Change - `files/patch-pyproject.toml` relaxes the bound to `<3.4` - `BUILD_DEPENDS` relaxed to match (`cython>=3.2.9<3.4`) - `PORTREVISION` bumped ## Validation The pin is upstream caution, not a real incompatibility — lxml …
307f3bba30 Lucas Holt devel/py-lxml: update to 6.1.3 (#1065)
Updates lxml to 6.1.3. - Removes the obsolete PORTREVISION. - Requires upstream’s Cython 3.2.9–3.2.x build range. - Adds the cssselect test dependency and upstream test target. - Sets the test-only library path so ctypes resolves the mport libxml2. - Retains BSD 3-Clause licensing and MidnightBSD fake-install handling. Validation: - bmake makesum - bmake patch - bmake - bmake fake - bmake package - bmake test (2019/2019 passed; optional lxml_html_clean group skipped upstream) - bmake check-license - bmake clean - portlint -C (0 fatals; standard MPORT_MAINTAINER_MODE warning) - git diff --check ## Summary by Sourcery Update the py-lxml port to 6.1.3 and align its build and test dependencies with the upstream release. a05b377b53 Lucas Holt *: bump PORTREVISION for the textproc/libxml2 2.15 shared library change (#848)
`textproc/libxml2` 2.15 changed SONAME from `libxml2.so.2` to `libxml2.so.16` **and** removed ELF symbol versioning entirely — the new library defines no `LIBXML2_*` versions at all. Consumers built against the old library were never rebuilt, so they still record a dependency on `libxml2.so.2` plus version requirements nothing can satisfy, and fail at load time: ``` ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/libxml2.so.2: version LIBXML2_2.4.30 required by /usr/local/lib/libevdocument3.so.4 not defined ``` ### Scope `Tools/scripts/bump_revision.pl -f -l textproc/libxml2` — **436 Makefiles**: 323 revisions incremented, 113 gained a `PORTREVISION` line. The diff touches nothing but `PORTREVISION` lines (verified: `git diff -U0` shows no other changed line), and spot-checked ports still …
